What cars and trucks look better in black, because they had a less than attractive design element?

This is most often accomplished with black trim matching the paint. I have to go to the dog park, discuss amongst yourselves.

In 1976 (maybe a year or two earlier) or so MG replaced the chrome numbers on their MGB and Midget with the ugliest federal safety standard add on of the 70s, the rubber baby buggy bumpers, black on all cars, partially saved by the  black Limited Edition they offered in 79 and 80.

Oh man I don’t like those, but it helps. It looks like a Fiero kit car to me, nothing works in the design. I’ve only seen two in person and they were both burgundy somehow. Chevy brought one to the auto show when I was doing Toyota and I saw one last week in the wild go by. I thought it was a strange choice for the show.

I just feel like they had to make the trunk big, are the rear tires wide, so they made the whole back big, and then made the air intake huge to try and blend it all together.

Reminds me of another ungainly air intake.

Yeah, that car is like the Gumpert, it’s better in black hiding some elements. The Corvette to me is just a disaster, nothing is what I would pick, squinty front, Camaro back, then force it together. blah

Cars with a lot of black/carbon fiber shit that you can’t get in body color

Also cheap cars with black bumpers, mirrors, and door handles

I think white is the color best for the C8. In person it looks best to me...probably due to softening of lines.

I don’t mind those in dark green, but the headlights are so derpy I don’t think anything will help that. I don’t know why they did that.

Someone made a fiberglass version of the rubber and I’ve seen them painted to match. But it was rare.

I just checked out the 2020 model. It s till has big ugly plastic fake vents, but now they have  paint-matched trim? Doesn’t seem like much of an improvement to me.
